This section give a short overview of the map entry screen.

What is the map entry screen?
The map entry screen is shown below. This page can be use by the user to enter their own global position points. To select this page click the tab named Map Entry.

The format section allows the user to change between various global positioning formats. This section can be used as a simple global conversion calculator. First select the appropriate format you wish to enter by clicking on the radio button of the matching format. Then press the clear button to erase any invalid data. Fill in all location fields in the text boxes to the left with the correct information. The expected format to enter in the text box is shown to the right of the radio button. You should always give your waypoint (global location) a name so that you can identify it. If you are entering a UTM format then you need to enter the correct zone in the box just below the UTM radio button.

After you have entered a valid format you can change it by simple clicking on the radio button corresponding to the format you would like. The field in the text box will be updated automatically.

Now that you have entered the correct position and converted to a desired format you will want to add it to the data log so that it can be plotted on the corresponding DEM map. Simply click on the add button and the point will be added to the data log.

Note: The acquire button is not functional at this time.
